Kelsey Davenport
Kelsey Davenport joined the Arms Control Association in August 2011 as the Herbert Scoville Jr. Peace Fellow. She will be focusing on issues related to the military budget and nuclear security. Prior to coming to ACA, Kelsey worked for a think tank in Jerusalem researching regional security issues and track II diplomatic negotiations. She is pursuing a masters degree in peace studies from the Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies at the University of Notre Dame. Kelsey graduated summa cum laude from Butler University with a B.A. in international studies and political science.

(Washington, D.C.) An independent report released today ahead of the March 26-27, 2012 Nuclear Security Summit in Seoul finds that states are on track to meet most of the national commitments they made in 2010 to improve the security of nuclear-weapons usable materials worldwide, but that more work, political will, and financial resources are still required to address the ongoing challenge of safeguarding nuclear material.
