Volha Charnysh joined ACA in November 2009 as the organization’s first New Voices Nonproliferation Fellow. Prior to that, she interned with the Nuclear Age Peace Foundation in Santa Barbara, CA, and Global Zero in Washington, DC. She is also blogging and cartooning for Partnership for a Secure America and Bielar.us, a blog on Belarusian affairs in Washington, DC. She is a 2009 graduate of Smith College, where her senior thesis focused on the denuclearization of Ukraine.
